🔥 Where Is the Fire? The Struggle for Excellence in the Church
Step into any marketplace today and you’ll feel it—ambition.
The drive to build, to innovate, to rise.
Entrepreneurs hustle day and night. Creators push boundaries. Coders, marketers, and influencers stay up late chasing the next big thing.
The energy is electric.
The vision is clear.
The goal?
💵 Profit.
📊 Success.
👥 Recognition.
😔 A Stark Contrast in the Church
Now step into the church.
The contrast is often staggering.
Where is the same fire?
Where is the tireless creativity?
Where is the drive to build something great—not for money, but for the One who gave us everything?
💭 I Try to Understand…
I bring vision, tools, and a desire to create something meaningful for the kingdom.
And too often, I find myself alone in that effort.
People are kind.
They nod. They agree.
But they’re tired. Distracted. Busy.
And without the motivation of money or status, the energy dries up quickly.
I try to be understanding. Life is full. Families, jobs, health, and responsibility all take their toll.
And yet—I can’t help but wrestle with this question:
Is there really anything more important than what He did for us?
✝️ He Gave Everything — We Give When It’s Convenient?
He gave His life.
He bore our brokenness.
He offered us freedom, hope, eternity.
And we give… what we can, when it’s convenient?
This isn’t judgment—it’s grief.
It’s the ache of someone who believes the church was never meant to be mediocre.
We are the body of Christ.
We are carriers of glory.
The work we do—even in tech, art, sound, or service—should shine.
💎 It Should Bear the Mark of Devotion
Not perfection.
Not burnout.
But devotion. Intention. A hunger to reflect His worth in everything we touch.
The world builds because it wants to win.
We build because we’ve already been rescued.
That should change everything.
🙌 So I Keep Going
Not because I always feel inspired—
But because I know He is worthy.
Not because others always match my energy—
But because I believe even one faithful act, done well, can ripple in eternity.
🌱 Still Dreaming of a Church on Fire
I still dream of a church alive with creative fire.
A place where skill and spirit come together.
Where we chase excellence not for applause—but as worship.
Until then, I’ll show up.
I’ll serve.
I’ll build.
And I’ll keep believing that others, too, will catch the flame.
